Rolls-Royce stands for exclusivity, exceptional quality and comfort — and, with it, a sense of effortlessness. Yet the experience of charging an electric vehicle at public charging stations currently falls short of these standards. Our approach proposes an exclusive charging infrastructure designed specifically for Rolls-Royce drivers. It is based on weather-protected charging stations with a discreet parking assist system.

Rolls-Royce stands for ultimate luxury, technological excellence, an uncompromising material culture, and decades of experience in developing individualized mobility. Yet at a time when urban space is being rethought, mobility is increasingly shared, and ownership is replaced by access, the criteria for exclusivity are also shifting. Luxury is being redefined-through intelligence, sustain-ability, and relevance.

User Journey

A marked space on the ground helps with parking

After arrival, the loading module's door opens automatically

The charging module extends fully automatically

After charging, you can easily continue your journey

The charger itself is concealed within the wall. Through vehicle recognition, a panel automatically opens to reveal the charging module, which extends from the wall. The charging handle is positioned close to the vehicle’s charging port, allowing the cable to be guided effortlessly while remaining clean and protected.

The Rolls-Royce promise of luxury extends beyond the vehicle itself: even the necessity of charging becomes an effortless and refined experience.

To conclude the project, we had the opportunity to visit Rolls-Royce at the BMW Group facilities in Munich, where we presented our final concept. The presentation marked the completion of our collaboration and gave us the chance to share our design directly with the Rolls-Royce team.
